my favourite thriller director is Alfred Hitchcock because of his work on psycho and overall being the godfather of thriller as we know it

Hitchcock's Psycho was a true masterpeice in terms of the way it was filmed and the plot but the fil nearly did not happen when Hitchcock proposed the idea to the film makers they rejected it because of the voilence and sex so Hitchcock and to fund and produce the film himself Psycho was the first film to really show voilence and sex on camera in the 60s and earlier this was all deemed unacceptable but Hitchcock chose to do it anyway with great success he went into so much detail into getting the sound of the stabbing right and the colour of the blood perfect showing he really went the extra mile 

Hitchcock was well known for using high angled shots in most of his films he also used rafters in a large room to help create this he used this angle to make the scene much more dramatic he was able to film characters and show there feelings without the use of explaitry dialogue
