three important thrillers
North by northwest 1959
North by northwest is considered by some to be the best thriller of all time with some beliving it pathed the way for James bond it contains manny of Hitchcock's traits which can be seen in other films such as a controlling mother which is seen in physico but in the villains imagination and also a blond love interest which is also seen in physico as the main character most importantly it shows Hitchcock's two sides one side being the "light entertainer"where he serves up elegant mise en scene spy mischeif but also some very serious moments om human behaviour which this contains along with mistaken identity
M 1931
M featured so manny inovations in film it featured long fluid tracking shots and it featured amazing music such as 'in the hall of the mountain king' used by the main character and is now considered a timeless classic lang deemed the film to be 'magnum opus' meaning a master peice
silence of the lambs is considered by some to be one of the best modern thrillers ever made it is possibly the darkest sinifying sacfrifice and innocence with possibly one of the darkest antogonists ever being Hanibal Lecter a canibal serial killer who helos agent starling solve the crimes of the buffalo bill killer it simply terrified audiences and really makes you think about killers similar to other classic thrillers it is full of suspense uncomfortable close ups and discomforting dialogue you simply don't know what will happen next
